Wolff Kirsch is a founder and member of the board of directors of Karamedica.
An established medical innovator with over 50 patents and seasoned surgeon who practiced neurosurgery. Dr. Kirsch is the co-inventor of an FDA-approved medical device now known as the AnastoClip which is currently sold by LeMaitre Vascular and was previously distributed by US Surgical. Dr. Kirsch helped guide the AnastoClip and its applier through the regulatory process including 510k and PMA. Dr. Kirsch obtained B.A. and M.D. degrees from Washington University in St. Louis followed by neurosurgical residency and a neurochemistry/neuropharmacology fellowship also at Washington University. His leadership experience is extensive. He has been the Chairman of multiple neurosurgical departments across the U.S. for 20+ years, spent 1 year chairing the Department of Neurosurgery at Hadassah University Hospital in Jerusalem, Israel, and has been a NIH study section reviewer for 12 years. Dr. Kirsch has 10+ years experience in chitosan research and decontamination. He has maintained a research laboratory his entire career and has obtained outside grant funding from NIH, J&J, US Surgical, and others totalling over $8MM.
